PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is a sophisticated fiber product produced through a
melt-spinning process. Partially crystalline and naturally golden in color, PEEK
has a high tensile strength and is very resistant against chemicals and can operate
at extreme temperatures – making it a great fit for some of industry’s most demanding
applications.
o With a melting point of 334C/633F and a continuous
service temperature of 250C/482F, PEEK performs extremely well in high temperatures.
PEEK’s application window is from -60C/-76F to 250C/482F
o PEEK exhibits good chemical resistance against
acids, alkalis and solvents, and its hydrolysis resistance remains high even at
elevated temperatures
o As a flame retardant material, PEEK can be used
in applications where there is potential exposure to fire
o Add high tensile strength to its list of features
and properties and PEEK can be a very attractive material choice in demanding applications
