Growth and Investment

With Sun Capital’s support, Performance Fibers is committed to investing in its business and accelerating the pace of growth. We expanded operations in Asia, more than tripling overall capacity since 2004. In Europe, we continue to invest in rayon replacement fibers engineered at the Longlaville, France facility. In 2006, we acquired three German manufacturing facilities which produce industrial fibers for sewing thread, technical textiles and other industrial and specialty applications. In 2007, we opened our European headquarters in Bascharage, Luxembourg, centralizing customer support for the region. We also remain committed to the Americas and in 2008, acquired INVISTA’s North American polyester fiber business, including locations in the U.S. and Mexico.

Performance Fibers continues to invest globally in process-improvement programs such as Lean and Six Sigma. We also continue to look for opportunities in the marketplace and see endless possibilities for the future of our business and our industry.
